July 2003

"Dear Lord, please let this day be a sunny one, please let the beer remain cold no matter how often the cooler lid tis opened and please dear Lord, please prevent Gale from eating all my chips". Amen.

New comer Andy Czupik (with the future Mrs. Czupik at the helm) sure seems to be enjoying himself. If you notice the bottom of the photo, Andy, sensing the imminent danger of being rammed by a rogue canoe quickly converts his seat cushion into some kind of floatation device. Way to go Andy! Please keep in mind this important safety tip.

Having successfully avoided the crash in the previous photo, our boys of summer settle back and enjoy a relaxing smoke. Note: If anyone knows what to do with those green, stick like things, feel free to comment. They are constantly in the way.

Speaking of danger, notice the large pile of shrubberies just ahead of the the Czupik canoe. Also take note of how low in the water the Seaton and Potter canoe is riding. Fast water + shrubberies + low riding canoe equals ....

Wet Canoers !!!

But don't fret, thanks to a cool head (made even cooler by the fast water) our heroes emerge unscathed and in fact are able to boast about their accomplishments:

#1 - At surviving a capsized canoe
#1 at NOT LOOSING A SINGLE BEER
and
Bill wetting his pants ... priceless.
