June 2004

Our brave canoers decided to forego the normal day of fun and instead try to get
back to nature by hunting for our own food and beverages. Studying the way of
the American Indian each canoer chose his/her indian name and did what they could
to provide subsistence for the tribe. Pictured above we see "Squatting Dog"
attempting to spear a turtle.

Chief Biggum Belly and Throwing Fool try their hand at taking some of the local
water fowl. Throwing Fool found the best tossing rocks available and heaved them
mightily at the passing ducks while his squaw "she who wears night gown to
beach" looks on hungrily.

The young braves decided to try their hand at navigating an
authentic, american indian canoe made from a fallen birch tree (and painted
silver). Come to find out birch means "water bowl" in the native tongue.

As the day comes to an end, Throwing Fool try's his hand at
an ancient fertility dance. His goal, to find a mate. Notice the handsome young
braves falling for his hypnotic dance of love in the background.
