Canoeki Y2K Compliance:

Canoeki Enterprises has recently completed it's y2k testing and has deemed all Canoeki products to be y2k compliant.

The safety and enjoyment of our customers are of the up most importance to Canoeki Enterprises and with that in mind, the following y2k test bed was implemented.  Below you will find the individual compliance tests so please take a few minutes to review the results.

  1. Test bed begins with 2 control groups of 10 canoes each.  Each canoe contains one male and one well endowed female test subject and one cooler filled with a random number of various beers and snacks.
  2. Test group A, forwards their watches to 11:55 Dec. 31, 1999 while Test group B leaves their watches set to the correct date and time.
  3. At the transition of 1999 to 2000 the following did occur:
    • 3 of the Test group A (y2k) canoes did capsize.  As this is a typical occurrence, it was decided this test passed.
    • 1 of the test group B (not y2k) canoes did capsize.  It was later found that this canoe was actually within the test group A and had accendintally paddled to far ahead and became mixed with test group B.  Test group B  then tipped the rogue canoe.   Test passed.
    • At exactly 12:05, Jan. 1 2000 (simulated date/time), 3 test subjects reported to be unable to open their beverages.  This problem was turned over to the Canoeki programming staff who later equipped all Canoeki Canoes with a new COM object and this problem was no longer reported.  (COM - Can opening Machine)
      • The problem seemed to be related to the fact the can was actually a bottle and the test subject was too inebriated to notice.
Percy Seaton - Software Engineer 1st class.
  4. At the conclusion of the test run the following results were noted:
    • No one had died.
    • Everyone was drunk.
    • Everyone had a great time.
  5. Test complete.
